My Experience

Every blog begins somewhere: a restless afternoon, a notebook full of half-finished thoughts, a craving to say something to the world and mean it. Mine began the same way.

I am Sweet Agashi. This space is where I live that out in writing.

What started as a quiet decision to write for myself has grown into something I am genuinely proud of. A Filipino lifestyle blog built around the things I love most, written with the kind of honesty that only comes from caring deeply about your subject.

How It All Started

I have always been someone who notices things. The way a dish smells before it even arrives at the table. The way a single outfit can shift the energy of an entire day. The way a song can walk into a room uninvited and rearrange your whole mood.

For years, those observations stayed in my head. Or in scattered notes, voice memos, photos I kept saving without quite knowing why.

At some point I realized: these things deserved more than a folder on my phone. They deserved a place to breathe, a place to connect with other people who notice the same things. That realization became Sweet Agashi.

As a lifestyle blogger in the Philippines, I wanted to build something that felt genuinely personal. Not a highlight reel, not a polished performance, but a real conversation about the culture, the beauty, the food, the music, and the everyday moments that make life worth paying attention to.

My Background

Before Sweet Agashi, there was a different kind of writing life.

My first real experience writing online was for a K-pop website. I covered the latest news in the Korean music scene: comebacks, releases, artist updates, and the constant, wonderful flood of content that K-pop generates. But what I loved most was the airport fashion coverage. Idols arriving and departing in carefully curated looks, each outfit a deliberate statement, and my job was to capture and write about it in real time.

That role taught me a lot. How to write fast without losing accuracy. How to pay attention to the details that matter in fashion. How to write about a subject you genuinely love without letting the enthusiasm overtake the craft. It also deepened something that was already in me: a real eye for style rooted in Korean pop culture, and a way of writing about it that felt both informed and personal.

That experience is the foundation this blog is built on. The K-pop coverage here is not casual interest. The fashion writing is not guesswork. Both come from years of paying close attention, writing seriously, and caring about getting it right.

As a Filipino lifestyle blogger, I write from inside the life, not above it.

What You Can Expect Here

When you visit Sweet Agashi, here is what you will consistently find:

  • Honest opinions. I do not write about things I do not care about.
  • A Filipino perspective. My context, my culture, my point of view. Always.
  • K-pop and K-music coverage that goes deeper than press releases.
  • Food and fashion content that is practical, personal, and worth coming back to.
  • A consistent voice. Whether I am writing about a meal or a music video, it sounds like me.

Let’s Get Into It

If you landed on this page, I am glad you did.

This blog is still growing: new posts, new categories, new things to love and share. I hope you stick around for it. I hope something here resonates, makes you hungry, inspires an outfit, or sends you down a K-pop rabbit hole you did not see coming.

That is the whole point, really.
